I serve as a Geneticist, QA/QC Specialist in the Region 3 FAC Invasive Carp eDNA Program and am based out of Whitney Genetics Lab located within the Midwest Fisheries Center. I also serve on the R3 FAC Data Team which supports, facilitates, and provides technical advice to R3 staff working on data management activities within their offices. I received both my Bachelors and Masters degrees from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in Microbiology and Aquatic Sciences. Prior to joining the FWS, I was a Microbiologist for the USGS-Upper Midwest Environmental Sciences Center. In that role, I specialized in completing regulatory, technical section data, and compliance for chemical approvals submitted to the US Food and Drug Administration for use in state and federal hatcheries. I love learning and am especially interested in Change Management, Adaptive Leadership, Project Management and Quality Management. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband, two daughters, two cats and one dog. For my alone time, I like to read and garden.
