Hi and welcome to the FWS! I started my career with the Service as a volunteer and intern in the Northeast Region and now have over 22 years of Service experience working in the Division of Migratory Birds, the Office of Law Enforcement and with National Wildlife Refuges.
Originally from eastern Massachusetts, I received a B.S. in Environmental Science and Wildlife Conservation from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst. I also received a M.S in Natural Resource Policy and Behavior from the University of Michigan and am a self proclaimed policy wonk.
Currently, I work for the Office of Law Enforcement, Wildlife Inspection Program at Headquarters as an advisor for the Zoonoses Enforcement Unit, a new multi-program unit working with One Health partners focusing on zoonotic disease issues at the nexus of international wildlife trade.
I am also a fiber artist and enjoy knitting, traveling, being outdoors with my faithful retired USDA Beagle Brigade companion Jarvis, gardening, woodworking, board games and being a well rounded nerd.
